But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels,
for the suffering of death
crowned with glory and honor,
actionresult
ideaexplanation
that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone.
actionpurpose
For it was fitting for Him,
for whom are all things
and by whom are all things,
series
in bringing many sons to glory,
to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
For both He who sanctifies and those who are being sanctified are all of one,
for which reason He is not ashamed to call them brethren,
saying: “I will declare Your name to My brethren;
In the midst of the assembly I will sing praise to You.”
And again: “I will put My trust in Him.”
And again: “Here am I and the children whom God has given Me.”
bilateral
Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood,
He Himself likewise shared in the same,
comparison
that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil,
and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
For indeed He does not give aid to angels,
but He does give aid to the seed of Abraham.

ground
Therefore, in all things He had to be made like His brethren,
that He might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.
For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted,
He is able to aid those who are tempted.
inference
therefore Christ can be our merciful and faithful high priest (who atones for our sins) and help us who are being tempted by the sways of sins to be a merciful and faithful high priest who makes atonement for the sins of the people
Christ is able to aid those who are tempted
Jesus
Inasmuch then (therefore, because) Christ shared in the same flesh and blood as man in order that he might destroy the Devil and release those in bondage
for It was fitting for God as he brought people to Glory to make Jesus, the captain (LEADER) of salvation, perfect by suffering for His people
Jesus suffered death
Jesus [for a little while] was made a little lower than the angels so that he can taste death for man
for which reason Jesus is not ashamed to call us his brothers
For both He [Jesus] who sanctifies and those who are sanctified are all from one father

Notes
1. Christ Tasted Death This passage explains the personhood of Christ. More specifically, the humanity of Christ. The passage at the start establishes his purpose, to taste death for everyone. To taste death for humanity. Even more glorious, God considered it fitting, right, perfect plan; that the perfect leader is one that would not come in chariots of fire, but in humility, in obedience, in servanthood, to suffer, even the death of the Cross. This is such a beautiful picture of God. This is the humility of God, to taste death for everyone, and considered it fitting. 2. We are from the Father Why is it that the perfect leader of our salvation is made by suffering? Because we as humans also suffer, and Christ and us are all from the father. Therefore, the perfect plan requires one who can become like us (from the father) and one that can suffer like us. The leader of our salvation has to be like us and to suffer (the temptations of sin) like we did, therefore Christ came to be like us, to suffer like us, that he might be the perfect candidate to lead us to salvation. So Christ so not ashamed to call us brethren. He doesn't take on the role of Humility full of grudge because Christ is not ashamed to call us brethren. We weak and sinful humans, Jesus is not ashamed to be named among us. This is the redeeming power of Christ. What God has made clean, let not man say it is unclean. 3. Therefore, Christ is our High Priest Therefore, the captain of our salvation who tasted death for humanity can therefore be our High Priest, the high priest who atones for the sins of the whole world and more than that, the high priest who was numbered among humanity and now can help us and aid us when we fall into temptation because he was made the perfect leader (to go through what we had to go through) through suffering. Look to Christ and see what a glorious atonement we have received. Christ has become our high priest, he had suffered as we have, he is the perfect representative and at the same time the perfect sacrifice. Therefore, we can receive complete atonement for our sins. As he was our leader and representative, we can now look to him when we are facing the temptation to sin, and he can help us, he understands and he knows how to help you, look to Christ for the help of holiness. Don't continue in a life of sin; Christ had already atoned you to save you from the consequence of those sins, but more than that he came to save you from sin itself. This is our high priest, our representative, the great mediator before God, who confidently stand before God for us.
