The nearness of the Lord (5b) leads to two main and great conclusions: 1.) We ought to always rejoice in Him, with great praise and by our actions to others (5a) 2.) Because He is near, if we trust in Him with everything (in prayer and supplication), His peace will protect our hearts and minds from the world. What are you anxious about and have you prayed about it? How often do you think about the reality of the nearness of God in relation to your worldly anxieties?
