I think it is a lot of idea-explanations because he is stating realities and drawing conclusions based on personal experience, not necessarily building a argument using grounds and prepositions. He is talking to God, not stating a case. THerefore, all the more reason a lot of ideas and then explaining or expounding upon them. He is in a stream of consciousness and in testimony mode, not proving things to people, but merely drawing conclusions based on experience.

Psalms 139:1-6
OT
esv
To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David. O LORD, you have searched me and
known me!
progression
You know when I sit down
and when I rise up;
series
you discern my thoughts from afar.
ideaexplanation
You search out my path
and my lying down
and are acquainted with all my ways.
Even before a word is on my tongue,
behold, O LORD, you know it altogether.
You hem me in, behind and before,
and lay your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
it is high;
I cannot attain it.
