Main point summary
Although we were dead in our sins and deserving of wrath since we were following the world, Satan, and our flesh, God, being rich in mercy, made us alive in Christ and also in Christ, he raised us, and seated us in the heavenly realms. He did all of this so that he could lavish his gracious love on us forever.

j And you were k dead in the trespasses and sins l in which you once walked,
And although you were 1 dead 2 in your transgressions and sins, in which 3 you formerly lived 4
As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live
Let me explain more about the power that has already worked in you.... And (continuing the line of thought) you were dead in the trespasses and sins in which you all once walked.
following the course of this world ,
according to this world’s present path, 5
when you followed the ways of this world
Let me explain different characteristics of us who were formerly dead: 1. We followed the course of this world (which is in rebellion to God)
following m the prince of the power of the air ,
according to the ruler of the kingdom 6 of the air,
and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air,
2. We followed Satan.
the spirit that is now at work in n the sons of disobedience—
the ruler of 7 the spirit 8 that is now energizing 9 the sons of disobedience, 10
the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient.
This Satanic spirit is currently at work in those who are sons of disobedience
among whom we all once lived in o the passions of our flesh ,
among whom 11 all of us 12 also 13 formerly lived out our lives in the cravings of our flesh,
All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh
(Let me explain what that demonic spirit does) We were all like this, that is, 3. we gratified the cravings of our flesh.
carrying out the desires of the body 1 and the mind,
indulging the desires of the flesh and the mind,
and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest,
Which resulted in us doing out the will or desires of the flesh and mind

and p were by nature q children of wrath ,
and were by nature children of wrath 14
we were by nature deserving of wrath.
And all of this concludes that we were by the very nature of who were were, children of wrath
like the rest of mankind. 2
even as the rest… 15
Just like the rest of those who are not in Christ and still children of wrath.
