Notes**
It is possible to think that you are religious, when in all actuality, you have worthless religion (v26) A person who merely thinks he has true religion does not keep a tight reign on his tongue (James 3:1-12) A person who merely thinks he has true religion actually deceives his own heart (James 2:14-26) The alternati ve is to have a true religion , one that is pure and undefiled before God. A person who has this true religion will care for those in need, particularly widows and orphans This person will also keep themselves unstained from the world
